Challenge
Real-time monitoring of parking spaces availability in different car parks of a shopping centre and consolidation of information in a central repository. Display of real-time occupancy information for each car park on digital boards around the city.
Edge-based VAx
Solution
Future Connections worked with an integrator to set up VAx on surveillance cameras in combination with a VAx analytics platform, in order to obtain real-time capacity information of each car park. The occupancy detection system based on Future Connections video analytics solution used general-purpose surveillance cameras already in place. The solution was customised and enhanced with automatic detection of parking violations.
